Be Calm, Clarify & Glow Girl!
There are many different clay masks out there that help benefit your skin in many ways. Although sometimes, you may have to get a different mask depending on your goal in different brands. What's amazing, I have found a brand where you can calm your skin, clarify your skin of breakouts and get your skin glowing!
Introducing CLN&DRTY founded by Paula Hoss (founder & CEO) where all products are handmade in Kingston, Massachusetts. Just like everyone I've met, she is a warrior who is resilient and has such an inspiring story to tell of why and how she founded her company.
I don't know how I came upon her brand and found them but I was swept away by their Ultimate SPA Night Kit: The Lull Mask, The Clarifying Mask and the Glow Mask.
The lull mask helps to gently calm and exfoliate sensitive skin. The Clarifying mask helps with clarifying more acne prone skin (combination skin). The Glow mask helps to detoxifies and pulls out impurities, brightening up your dull dry skin (great for normal to dry skin).
I absolutely love combining the masks. Here you can see that I am using the clarifying mask with the glow mask for underneath my eyes. My skin is very acne prone especially at the end of the month when my period comes. I have combo to oily skin so this takes out all that nasty stuff the causes acne.
LET'S TALK ABOUT KEY INGREDIENTS & BENEFITS:
The Clarifying mask has bentonite clay, finely ground coffee and tea tree oil.
The Bentonite clay in the mask works like a sponge absorbing all the dirt and oil. It also has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that help your skin heal.
The Finely Ground Coffee reduces inflammation due to skin problems such as eczema, acne and psoriasis.
Tea Tree Oil is a potent ingredient but because it is added to a gentle carrier such as a sweet almond oil (an ingredient in the mask) it is an antibacterial that helps to treat anything from acne, athlete's foot or nail fungus.
The Glow mask has kaolin clay, turmeric, and carrot seed oil.
The kaolin clay is cleansing and refreshing. This is great for oily skin because it absorbs impurities by absorbing moisture to reduce blemishes. Get a natural glow from turmeric that helps with acne breakouts, slows skin aging and moisturizes dry skin. The carrot seed oil helps to tighten and reduces your fine lines and wrinkles. It is an inflammatory ingredient that can help soothe. Great to reduce acne scars and redness.
The lull mask consists of purple Brazilian clay, lavender essential oil, and argan oil.
This mask is truly anti-aging due to its purple Brazilian clay. It helps prevent your skin from absorbing environmental contaminants and impurities. Lavender oil kills germs, wound healing and is an inflammatory ingredient. It is also a great assistant in catching a good night sleep. Argan oil protects the barrier of the skin and improves the overall texture of your face and helps to control oily skin.

WHAT PURPOSE WOULD I USE EACH MASK FOR?
My skin is combination to oily. Its important to know how your skin is feeling. For example: sometimes my skin can feel more on the drier side. When I need more hydration and help sleeping, I turn to the lull mask. I have PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) from abusive relationship in the past, so it helps calm me.

My skin usually starts breaking out at the end of the month so when this happens, I turn to the clarifying mask. This works great for acne prone skin and detoxifies all of your impurities. If you love the smell of coffee like me, you will quite enjoy this mask. It has columbian coffee grounds that help wake up your skin and works as a great exfoliator.

I absolutely hate it when my skin is dull especially during the colder days for fall and winter. I turn to the Glow Mask for help to get me that natural glow feeling so fresh and so clean. This mask detoxifies my skin making it feel a lot more vibrant, soft and fully cleansed.
The Turmeric Root Powder in the mask is what is creating that yellow color. The carrot seed oil is truly hydrating. I can feel my face softer and more hydrated after using this mask. I have a lot of dark spots but over time, the oil enhances your skin tone because it has high vitamin and antioxidant content.
